Debussy, A. Mahler, Haydn, and Heggie in recital

On February 8, Joyce DiDonato returns to Riga, Latvia for a solo recital, performing alongside collaborative pianist Craig Terry. Performing on the stage of the Latvian National Opera, the duo will present Claude Debussy’s sensual Chansons de Bilitis, Alma Mahler’s introspective 5 Lieder, Joseph Haydn’s lamenting Arianna a Naxos, and Jake Heggie’s song cycle about the legendary sculpture Camille Claudel, Camille Claudel: Into the Fire.

Earlier this year, Joyce gave an acclaimed performance of the orchestral version of Camille Claudel: Into the Fire with the Concertgebouw Orchestra. The concert is available to stream for subscribers of Medici.tv.
