All-Berlioz Program with the MET Orchestra at Carnegie Hall
On June 16, Joyce DiDonato joins the MET Orchestra and Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin for an all-Berlioz program at Carnegie Hall. Selections from Berlioz’s grand opera Les Troyens and his great orchestral showpiece Symphonie fantastique round out the program.
Ms. DiDonato has recorded many of Berlioz’s works with John Nelson, a renowned master of Berlioz’s music, including his epic Les Troyens and the thrilling Le Damnation de Faust. Earlier this month they recorded Berlioz’s Roméo et Juliette, which will be released by Warner Classics / Erato.
