Joyce DiDonato and conductor John Nelson continue their acclaimed Berlioz series, with performances of his third symphony, Roméo et Juliette in Strasbourg and Paris. A renowned master of Berlioz’s music, John Nelson will conduct a top-notch cast including Ms. DiDonato, tenor Cyrille Dubois, bass Christopher Maltman, as well as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Chœurs de l’Opéra national du Rhin, and The Gulbenkian Choir.

The concert series kicks off at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès in Strasbourg on June 7 and 8, followed by a performance at the Philharmonie de Paris on June 10. Additionally, Medici.tv will stream the opening concert live on June 7, 8pm CEST / 2pm EDT.

Ms. DiDonato has recorded two other acclaimed Berlioz projects with John Nelson: Berlioz’s epic Les Troyens and the thrilling Le Damnation de Faust. The upcoming performances of Roméo et Juliette will also be recorded and released by Warner Classics / Erato.
