American author and close friend of Joyce DiDonato, Donna Leon, sat down with Paula Scheidt from Das Magazin for an interview about Joyce. The friends recently collaborated on the film The Florence Foster Jenkins Story, with Ms. DiDonato playing the singer and Ms. Leon acting as associate producer. The film, directed by Ralf Pleger and released in 2017, is a mix between a drama and documentary that explores the career of Florence Foster Jenkins.
