Joyce DiDonato and Yannick Nézet-Séguin perform Schubert’s ‘Winterreise’

Joyce DiDonato and Yannick Nézet-Séguin reunite for two recitals this month in Kansas City and Ann Arbor. The star duo will perform Schubert’s masterpiece song cycle, Winterreise, in its entirety, marking Joyce’s first-ever performance of the piece. Yannick Nezet-Séguin trades in his baton for a piano in a work that Joyce calls a “singular, crowning achievement in song.”

Ms. DiDonato will return to her hometown for their first performance on December 13 at the Folly Theater. Following, she makes her University of Michigan recital debut on December 16 in Hill Auditorium. For more information about this dramatic and meditative work, read Joyce’s program notes here.
