Upcoming DVD for "In War and Peace – Harmony Through Music"

A highly anticipated DVD, now available for pre-order via Amazon, of Joyce DiDonato’s performance of In War & Peace at Gran Teatre del Liceu will be released internationally on April 6.

The project In War & Peace: Harmony through Music has taken Joyce DiDonato, conductor Maxim Emelyanychev and Il Pomo d’Oro to cities all over the United States and Europe, eliciting intense emotions from the audience and receiving rave reviews from the critics. Opera News described her concert at Carnegie Hall as “breathtaking music making by DiDonato and Il Pomo d’Oro.”

This project was created as Joyce’s reaction to the terror attack in Paris in November 2015, when she felt the need to respond to the world around her with music, with the hope to bring comfort not only to herself, but also the audience.
