Joyce DiDonato sings Romeo, one of her signature roles, in a concert presentation of Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi this season at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Performances take place February 29 & March 3, and also feature Venera Gimadieva as Giulietta and Celso Albelo as Tebaldo, with conductor Paolo Arrivabeni leading the Orchestra and Chorus of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Please note ticket availability is extremely limited for these performances.

Ms. DiDonato has previously received tremendous critical acclaim for her portrayal of Romeo:

“Her command and virtuosity made Romeo the most convincing character in the opera.”

Lisa Hirsch – The Classical Review

“Hands down, it was . . . the seasoned operatic powerhouse, Joyce DiDonato as Romeo, who stole the show . . . Unsurprisingly, Joyce DiDonato’s flawless voice made her Romeo a stunner . . .  her range and the way she carved out tones in both her head and chest voices were extraordinary.”
