Role debut as Charlotte in ‘Werther’ at the Royal Opera

Next season, Joyce makes her highly anticipated stage debut as Charlotte in Massenet’s romantic tragedy Werther at the Royal Opera House. Ms. DiDonato stars alongside tenor Vittorio Grigolo in the title role, with the Royal Opera’s Music Director Sir Antonio Pappano leading the orchestra and chorus. This will be a reunion for Ms. DiDonato and Mr. Pappano in London, following their thrilling recital last year at Wigmore Hall.

Performances take place June 19, 24 & 27 and July 3, 6 & 13, with the June 27 performance receiving a live broadcast into cinemas worldwide.
