Joyce joins forces with the New York Philharmonic and Music Director Alan Gilbert for a whirlwind European tour, beginning with a performance at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on April 16, followed by a concert at The Barbican in London on April 17. The program includes Ravel’s Shéhérazade and the UK premiere of Salonen’s Nyx, and is a highlight of Joyce’s Artist Spotlight series at the venue, which also included a wildly successful performance of selections from her album Stella di Napoli in September and a spectacular concert setting of Handel’s Alcina in October. The tour continues with concerts at the famed Concertgebow in Amsterdam on April 21, the Philharmonie Luxembourg on April 23, and the Philharmonie de Paris on April 25. The performance at the Philharmonie on the 25th will also receive a live broadcast via Medici.tv.

While in London, she will also reunite with the Brentano String Quartet on April 14 at The Barbican, to reprise the stunning program from their Carnegie Hall performance earlier this season, which will include the European premiere of Jake Heggie’s Camille Claudel: Into the Fire. Ticket availability is extremely limited for this special event, which also includes a post-show Q&A session with Ms. DiDonato and Mr. Heggie.
